About Velourfashion
Velourfashion is a young brand launched in 2026, run by a small team based in Poole, on the south coast of England. We dress women in France and the United States.
We try to be the women's clothing store we wish we had found when we first started shopping online: a mid-priced selection, shipped directly by our supplier located outside the EU and the United Kingdom, with free shipping and delivery times stated clearly before you buy. When something isn't right, you write to us and we reply within one business day.
Who we're for
We have a specific customer in mind when we choose our pieces: a woman in France or the United States, roughly between 25 and 45, who wants something lovely for a summer wedding, a weekend away, or a night out — without spending $150 on a dress.
Our selection
Right now, our selection is centered on summer dresses — maxi, midi, mini — complemented by tops, shoes and a few accessories. Most of our pieces sit around $35 – $55.
The selection changes with the seasons: we'll be adding coats, knitwear and boots for autumn and winter, and the catalogue will keep growing over time.
Where our name comes from
"Velour" is simply a word we found pretty — soft on the ear, easy to remember, and it sounds right for a fashion brand. It is not a promise about the fabric of our clothes.
We don't only sell velvet — in fact, most of our pieces contain none at all. Our summer dresses, tops and shoes are made from all kinds of fabrics, chosen piece by piece for their quality and drape. The name "Velourfashion", and our address velourfashion.com, don't refer to any particular material: it's simply the name of the house under which we bring together our whole selection.
Shipping & delivery times
We deliver to France and the United States — free shipping, no minimum order. France: 4 to 10 business days end to end (1 to 3 days of preparation, then 3 to 7 days in transit). United States: 8 to 17 business days (1 to 3 days of preparation, then 7 to 14 days in transit).
We state this on every product page to avoid any surprises after ordering. If you need an item for a specific date within that window, write to us before placing your order and we'll tell you honestly whether it's doable.
How to reach us
Email is the fastest way to reach us. We reply Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Paris time (GMT+01:00). Most messages get a reply within one business day; during busy periods (Black Friday, Christmas, sales) it can take two or three days.
What we don't do
We don't do express or next-day delivery — if you need an item for tomorrow, we're not the right place. We're not based in France or the United States either: our team works from Poole, England, and orders are shipped directly by our supplier located outside the EU and the United Kingdom, which adds a few days.
